McAfee Inside? Intel Buys Security Software Pillar for $7.7 Billion
The Intel announcement that it is buying computer security software giant, McAfee, took a lot of people by surprise this week. The deal, in our opinion, makes a lot of sense, given the projected growth of the mobile Internet. As the computing world moves toward larger, faster, distributed networks and as the next generation of computing devices become increasingly mobile, it will only be a matter of time before they become the target for hackers and virus creators.
